Yeay, it took all summer for me to sit down and do it, but now it's finally done- King Mickey as King of Hearts is now coloured!
Why Mickey as King of Hearts:
Character: Duh, he's a KING, I had
to put him as one of the kings.
Colour: Hearts symbolize the tarot deck's cups. King of cups is representing the head of a family or a group of people (hello Disney worldwide character no.1).
Combination: King Mickey/Mickey the "mysterious" key bearer is a combo I chose not only because I wanted two versions of him, but also because the card King of cups(hearts) stands for breaking free of feelings and relations that don't belong with you anymore to make place for new experiences - Mickey has to put aside his life as King to fight, both alone and together with Riku in the world of darkness. But at the end, he can also break free from his life as a fighter to once more become the King, separating the two personalities or so to speak. And, one more thing which affects my choice of character for this card; the card stands for someone who commits deeply to filosophical and religious thoughts - come on! He's the one who did some research on the myth/legend of the keyblade and the key bearer, he even risked his life to find the answers needed. Talk about comitted to his cause! And to me, myths and legends are right up there with religion and philosophy. So there you go.
Symbols?: The keychain held by King Mickey symbolizes royalty, as does the mark of a crown on his zipper. I was aiming for more symbols to begin with, but just couldn't come up with a good way to place them in teh pic.
Hope you like it!
