Description
I just realized I had this one scanned last monday... It's a contest entry for a site selling manga artist stuff. The rules for the contest were simple; draw a manga hero or villain of your own and the environment they belong in.
I had an art-block for this one for about a moth's time, and then, last saturday, when I had three days left to do the thing, I just sat down and dug up an old, old, OLD character I did at the beginning of my manga-fanatism, and decided to give it an improvement.
This is the story I had written down for the duo:
Naszumi is the spirit of a dragon trapped inside a human body, only gradually discovering what she truly is by hidden talents coming up to the surface in a time of need.
The winged cat, Nemesis, showed up at her 18th birthday and explained parts of the origin to her magical powers. Now, she follows the young dragon-girl around to teach her how to use the magic, and to watch over her, and her surroundings, until the day she finally breaks out of her shell or decides to stay human.

Ohhh! She looks awesome! And I'm always a sucker for winged cats, heehee. Really though, I think it looks great. She looks like she belongs in the background and everything. <3 Good luck on the contest!
